All orders with ship-to-addresses outside of San Francisco are sent via UPS Next Day Air with guaranteed 10:30am delivery in most locations. Some remote locations have 12:30pm delivery. Deliveries to San Francisco addresses are sent via messenger and will arrive no later than 4pm. Please carefully check your ship-to-addresses – name, address and zip code – as we will not accept responsibility for wrong ship-to-addresses.
UPS cannot deliver to a P.O. Box. You must supply us with a physical address and phone number. Standard UPS deliveries are made from Tuesday through Friday. UPS offers Saturday delivery in some locations at an additional cost. If you choose Saturday delivery you will be charged the additional cost. Our San Francisco messenger makes deliveries Monday through Friday. The table below shows the earliest day your order can be delivered based on the day you place your order:

If your order is for a special event or required on a certain date, PLAN ACCORDINGLY. We do not have control over UPS, the weather and other events that may impact your scheduled delivery. We recommend that you plan to receive your order at least 3 days prior to your event. This will allow time for a replacement order to be sent should the unexpected occur. We accept orders for future delivery dates and, in fact, encourage you to place your order early especially during our peak holiday periods.
Through UPS we offer insurance in case your order is lost, damaged, or late. If you do not purchase the insurance and your product is lost, damaged or late you will have to replace it at your own cost. UPS requires signatures upon delivery for all insured packages. Be sure someone will be available to sign for your order. Uninsured UPS deliveries can be sent without a signature required but if the package is lost or damaged neither we nor UPS will accept responsibility. We highly recommend you send your purchase with signature required upon delivery and that you purchase the insurance we offer to protect your Caviar and other products.
Because ALL of our products are PERISHABLE they will spoil if not refrigerated the day they arrive. Please be sure someone is available to put your package in the refrigerator as soon as it arrives. If you are shipping our products as a gift or to another party, please verify with the recipient that the package will be delivered at a time when someone will be available to sign for it (if applicable) and properly store it. If no one is available to receive the package the FIRST TIME delivery is attempted and the product is spoiled or damaged, neither we nor UPS will accept responsibility.
ALL local deliveries require signature.
Our shipping charges are based on package weight and delivery address. We have partnered with UPS to ensure our delivery rates are competitive. Still, because our products must be shipped with gel packs and protective material, our delivery charges typically range between $30 and $80. The insurance option costs an additional $3 per $100 of declared value with a $6 minimum.
